At the annual Glenthorn Growers Dinner on Thursday 23rd February Nick Morton, MBMG’s Procurement Director presented grower Colin Holman of Farmspeed (Southery Anchor) Ltd with the 24th Glenthorn Grower of the Year Award for many years of highly successful potato production. Mr Morton said on presenting Mr Holman with an engraved decanter and briefcase ‘We consider many factors in selecting the Grower of the Year – quality, reliability, flexibility, commitment and loyalty. The winner encompasses all of these.’

Once again a collection was made during the dinner for the East Anglian Children’s Hospices and thanks to some very generous donations, the total collected amounted to £2,200, bringing the total collected since 1994 to £13,559.
